What does it mean to recoil? The dictionary defines it as "to spring or come back; react." The Diamondback Recoil takes the dictionary definition to heart. Whether it's flying down the wide-open trail or making its way through twisty single track, the Recoil will react to the terrain under its tires and then spring back to take on whatever comes next. The bike is equipped with such features as an aluminum 4-inch trail frame, an SR Suntour XCT fork with 100mm of travel, a Tuff Shock Coil rear shock, and a Shimano Acera rear derailleur with eight-speed Rapid-Fire shifters. Add in 24 gears and Tektro mechanical disc brakes and you have a bike that won't cower in fear. The Recoil is always ready to spring into action and give you a great ride.

The Diamondback Recoil is outfitted with a 4-inch aluminum trail frame.

About Mongoose
In 1974, BMX Products, Inc., later to be known as Mongoose Bicycles, launched from a humble garage. The first of its kind, the BMX bicycle was named after bicycle motocross and was designed to fit the needs of the rough-and-tumble dirt-racing pastime that took its toll on wheels and bicycles. Previously known for the 20-inch bicycle, this title signaled the re-direction of Mongoose bicycles to larger-wheeled, adult-sized models. Several years later, Mongoose continues to dominate the cruiser racing circuit with six National No. 1 Cruiser titles, leading to the introduction of adult-sized Mongoose all-terrain bicycles (ATBs).

In 1992, Mongoose pioneered the full-suspension market with the introduction of the Amplifier. This design is still the most-copied suspension design in the market. These low-slung bars work great in both a traditional and reverse setup. Mount them handles up for increased comfort. Mount them handles down for a slightly forward and tucked position which generally results in increased speed. The handlebar features a 1-inch clamp area (and amazingly measures 25.4 mm in Europe!), a 2-inch rise, and measures 20.25 inches across. In fact, this bar comes pretty darn close to a near perfect bike polo bar out of the box.
